How It Happened
Lebanon Valley tied a program record by netting 16 three-pointers in the team's dominant 94-74 victory over MAC Commonwealth foe Hood in front of a packed house at Sorrentino Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 28.

Travis Conrad poured in a career-high 33 points, including eight triples, to lead all scorers, while Sam Light, Caleb Barwin, and Andy Orr also reached the double-digit scoring mark.

The Flying Dutchmen (12-8, 6-5 MAC Commonwealth) were in control from the get-go and led by as many as 25 points late in the second. Conrad's first three-ball of the day put LVC ahead 11-3 in the game's opening moments and not until Trevor Magnuski connected on a trey of his own with 6:05 remaining in the first half did the Blazers (13-7, 5-6 MAC Commonwealth) make it a one-possession game.

LVC responded with a 19-10 run that was capped by back-to-back buckets from beyond the arc by Conrad, giving the Dutchmen a comfortable 42-31 advantage heading into the break.

Hood hung around in the second half and cut the deficit that had ballooned to as much as 16 following Morgon Keiser's first layup as a member of the Dutchmen to single digits at 60-51 with 9:21 left to play when Daniel Wegener converted the first of two free throws.

Consecutive three-pointers from Barwin and Conrad thwarted the Blazer comeback and Lebanon Valley kept the foot on the gas pedal in the final minutes. Conrad put an exclamation point on his career day by burying back-to-back buckets from distance to give the Dutchmen their largest lead of the day at 86-61 with 3:33 remaining.

Make-A-Wish Game
Prior to Saturday's contest, Lebanon Valley honored 16-year old Sammy Hill, a Wish Child from Hummelstown. She was presented with a special Make-A-Wish jersey that the men's basketball players wore for one game only against the Blazers. The Hill family was also given an all-inclusive one-day pass to Hersheypark before the LVC cheerleaders presented Sammy with a cheer jersey. The big reveal came when it was announced that Sammy's wish will come true, as she and her family will be going to Disney in the upcoming weeks. All proceeds from the game, including a $2,000 check given to Sherrie Davis from Make-A-Wish, were donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Hot Dog Frank Day
Saturday was LVC's annual Hot Dog Frank Day and at halftime of the men's basketball game, LVC president Lewis E. Thayne and Peter Aftosmes, son of "Hot Dog" Frank Aftosmes presented Shannon Brandt and Beth Julian '09 with the 2017 Hot Dog Frank Award for Athletic Service. Brandt and Julian have been tremendous allies for LVC's student-athletes and coaches in achieving continued academic success. As is tradition, free hot dogs were given to all fans in attendance between the men's and women's contests.

Stat of the Day
94 – LVC's 94 points scored against Hood was the team's highest output since the first game of the 2015-16 season when the Dutchmen put up 101 in a three-point victory over Roanoke.

- Travis Conrad took over the game with his sharpshooting from distance en route to posting a career-high 33 points. His eight triples are the second-highest single-game total in program history.
