The Mustangs answered with two straight goals to take a 3-2 advantage at 17:26, but Jones struck again and tied it at 3-3 with 12:49 to go in the first.

Later with LVC down 8-4, Jones scored twice on the extra-player advantage to make the score 8-6 with just over 25 minutes remaining in the game. With 11:52 to go, Stevenson's Carli Bafford scored an unassisted goal to make it 9-6.
