Boyce Scores 200th Career Goal As WLAX Wins Sixth Straight

How It Happened
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.Sam Boyce reached 200 career goals as she scored four goals to lead Lebanon Valley to a 16-12 victory over Lycoming on Wednesday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth action. The win is LVC's sixth-straight and fifth-straight in conference action. The Dutchmen now sit at 9-4, 5-0 MAC Commonwealth, while the Warriors fell to 11-3, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth.

LVC took an early lead by scoring the game's first three goals. Tori Kuntz, Alyse Bingham, and Emma Jones each scored for the Dutchmen. Lyco, however, scored three in a row to tie the game at 3-3 with 16:03 remaining in the first half. Later in the opening half with the Dutchmen up 6-5, Boyce scored back-to-back with the second goal being the 200th of her career. LVC went into the halftime break with an 8-5 lead.

With 21:04 left in the game, the Warriors came to within three when Kelly McGinniss scored her 44th of the season to make it 11-8. The Dutchmen answered with four straight goals, including two from Makenzie Kelley, to push their lead to seven at 15-8 with 15:46 to go. Lyco made it close down the stretch by scoring four consecutive tallies to make it a 15-12 game, but Boyce finished the Warriors off with a goal with 28 ticks left on the clock, as LVC came away with the 16-12 win.

Boyce Makes History
Boyce became just the second player in program history to record 200 goals or more in a career. Hana Krechel (2010-13) is the program leader with 272 goals.

Inside the Numbers
 - Boyce and Emma Jones each scored four goals, while Jones caused a team-high three turnovers.
 - Kelley and Kuntz both notched three goals and Kuntz picked up a pair of ground balls.
 - Bingham racked up a team-high five ground balls.
 - Emily Moatz continued to shine and controlled a game-high eight draws.
 - The Dutchmen outshot Lyco 33-23 and had 25 shots on goal compared to the Warriors' 16.
 - As a team, LVC led in ground balls (18-12) and the two squads tied in draw controls with 15.

Who's Next?
The Dutchmen continue conference action when they head to Owings Mills, Md. for a date with Stevenson on Saturday at 1 p.m.
