W. Lacrosse Wins Fourth Straight

How It Happened
CHESTER, Pa. – Lebanon Valley won their fourth game in a row and third consecutive MAC Commonwealth game by defeating Widener 13-8 on Wednesday night. With the win, the Dutchmen improved to 7-4 and stayed perfect in conference action at 3-0. The Pride fell to 5-6, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth.

Down 2-1 with 22:17 left in the first, LVC rattled off four consecutive goals from four different goal scorers in Tori Kuntz, Emma Jones, Brenna O'Neill, and Alyse Bingham, to take a 5-2 advantage. Each team scored again before the half was over, but the Dutchmen went into halftime with a 6-3 lead.

Coming out of the break, LVC scored five goals in a row, including three from Jones, to take a 10-3 lead with 21:09 remaining in the contest. Widener scored the game's final three goals, however the Dutchmen's lead was too big and LVC went on to win 13-8.

Inside the Numbers
 - Kuntz and Jones paced the offense with four goals apiece, while Sam Boyce added three.
 - Kuntz, Julia Brewer, Shelby Morris, and Brooke Stoltzfus all picked up three ground balls for the Dutchmen.
 - Brewer and Stoltzfus caused three turnovers apiece, while Kuntz won a game-high eight draw controls.

Between the Pipes
 - Morris (7-4) picked up the win and made 11 saves for LVC.

When's the Last Time You Heard It Like This?
The Dutchmen are off to a similar start in conference action to last year when LVC began MAC Commonwealth play by winning four straight.

The Dutchmen continue conference action on Saturday when LVC hosts Arcadia at 1 p.m.
