How It HappenedLebanon Valley traveled to Newport News, Va. to battle Christopher Newport and suffered a 15-5 loss at the hands of the Captains. CNU improved to 3-1 on the season, while the Dutchmen went to 2-2.
The Captains got off to a fast start, scoring five goals in less than five minutes of action for a 5-0 lead. LVC got one back when
Brenna O'Neill scored unassisted at 21:48, but CNU countered with two goals before halftime to take a 7-1 lead into the second half.
Coming out of halftime, the Captains scored four in a row before
Tori Kuntz found the back of the net at 22:11 to make it an 11-2 contest.
Sam Boyce got in on the action eventually with a goal, and Kuntz and
Emily Moatz each added a late goal, but LVC was unable to string together enough goals and eventually fell 15-5.
Inside the Numbers - Moatz picked up a team-high six ground balls and added five caused turnovers.

Shelby Morris was busy for most of the afternoon and made five saves in the game.

Laura Schmidt caused two turnovers and picked up a ground ball.
- CNU outshot the Dutchmen 29-21 as a team. The Captains also led in draw controls at 13-8.
