How It Happened
Lebanon Valley scored three goals in the final 7:19 to erase a late deficit and earn an exciting 6-5 come-from-behind victory over FDU-Florham at Arnold Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Devils (1-4) erased a two-score deficit and netted four-straight second-half goals during a span of 7:13, capped by Joelle Manganella's free position strike that gave FDU a 5-3 advantage with 16:53 left to play.

LVC (3-2) struggled to gain and hold possession until late in the contest when an FDU foul afforded Emma Jones a free position attempt which she buried to cut the deficit to one with 7:19 left remaining.

Makenzie Kelley got into the scoring act four minutes later when she gathered a Christina Maleski pass and put her shot past goalkeeper Megan Nemeth at the 3:06 mark.

The Flying Dutchmen controlled the ensuing draw and Brenna O'Neill found a darting Sam Boyce for a score from point-blank range that gave the advantage back to Lebanon Valley with 2:42 left.

The deciding defensive moment came when Jones caused a key turnover and scooped up the ensuing ground ball to give possession back to the Dutchmen with less than two minutes remaining.

The Devils struck first when Brienna Reasoner found twine less than five minutes into the first half but LVC responded with three straight scores to end the half. Tori Kuntz converted a breakaway attempt at the 23:52 mark, Jones converted the first of her two free position strikes two minutes later, and Boyce netted her first of the day with 2:22 left before halftime.

Turning Point
FDU grabbed the momentum early in the second half thanks to a four-goal outburst over a span of little more than seven minutes but the Dutchmen responded by regaining and retaining possession late in the half, leading to three consecutive scores in less than five minutes, beginning with Emma Jones free position conversion at the 7:19 mark and ending with Sam Boyce's game-winner with 2:42 remaining. Makenzie Kelley added the equalizer with 3:06 left to play.

It Was Over When…
Emma Jones caused FDU's Samantha Holleritter to turn the ball over before scooping up the ground ball with 1:23 left to play. The Dutchmen retained possession and played keep-away while a Devil player served two minutes for a yellow card, ending any hope of a game-tying score.
