How It Happened
Sam Boyce, Emma Jones, and Makenzie Kelley each scored four goals en route to Lebanon Valley's 14-10 victory over the University of Scranton on Wednesday night. The Dutchmen jumped to 2-1, while the Royals fell to 1-2.

In the first few minutes of the first half, LVC and Scranton traded off goals, as Jones scored the game's first goal just 28 seconds in and after a Royals' goal at 23:06, Boyce put the Dutchmen back on top at 22:24. After Scranton's Elena Gallo evened the game at 2-2 at 18:55, LVC rattled off the contest's next five goals and went into halftime with a 7-2 advantage.

Coming out of the halftime break, the Dutchmen continued to lead by a considerable margin, as a Kelley goal at 17:47 made it 11-4 in favor of LVC. Over the next five minutes, the Royals scored three straight and cut the lead to 11-7 with 12:36 left in the game. From there, Jones scored once and Kelley added two more to extend the lead back to seven at 14-7. Scranton scored three late goals, but never came close tying the Dutchmen.

Top Performers
- Jones had four goals on six shots to go along with an assist, two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and five draw controls.
 - In addition to her four goals, Boyce added two assists and two draw controls.
 - Kelley had the best game of her young career by far, scoring four goals on five shots while notching four draw controls and causing two turnovers.
 - Brooke Stoltzfus caused a team-high three turnovers.

Inside the Numbers
 - The two squads were tied in shots on the night at 24-24 and Scranton held the slight edge in shots on goal at 21-18.
 - Shelby Morris got the win for LVC, making 11 stops on the evening.
 - The Dutchmen went 14-for-16 on clear attempts and the Royals went 16-for-22.
 - LVC dominated in draw controls at 18-7.

The Dutchmen travel to Newport News, Va. on Saturday to take on Christopher Newport at 1 p.m.
