How It Happened
Cheyanne Brown's bases-loaded, fourth-inning triple blew open a close game, allowing Lebanon Valley to take a 7-4 decision from Widener in game one of the team's MAC Commonwealth-opening doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.

Brown's bases-clearing triple capped a five-run fourth inning for LVC (7-4, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) and drove in Haley Christensen, Alissa Robinson, and Kim Ortiz-Marrero to push the lead to 7-3. Jordyn Miller led off the inning with a double and Christensen drove her in to even the score at 3-3 with a double of her own. Ortiz-Marrero picked up an RBI with a bases-loaded walk that put the Flying Dutchmen back out in front midway through the frame.

The Pride (6-3, 1-2 MAC Commonwealth) got one back in the top of the sixth but it was too little too late as LVC starter Haley Neff struck out Widener's Ally Horvath in the seventh to seal the win.

Inside the Circle
- Haley Neff got the start and the win for LVC, her second of the young season. She threw a complete seven-inning outing and allowed three earned runs on six hits to go along with her four strikeouts.
- Alexis Schengrund took the loss for Widener. She allowed all seven Dutchmen runs on nine hits and a pair of walks. She also struck out three batters.

- The Pride had two extra base hits with a pair of doubles.
- Taylor Church was the only Widener player to have a multi-hit game, while Alie Alkins drove in a team-high two runs.

How It Happened
Widener plated a pair of late runs to earn an 11-10 victory over Lebanon Valley in a wild, high-scoring game two of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.

With LVC (7-5, 1-1 MAC Commonwealth) clinging to a 10-9 lead entering the sixth inning, the Pride (7-3, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth) used a lead-off double and three consecutive singles to score what proved to be the game-winning runs in the top of the frame.

Sammy Bost worked her way to third base in the bottom of the seventh but the Flying Dutchmen couldn't drive her in.

After Widener opened the contest with two runs in the top of the first, LVC responded with a pair of its own in the bottom of the stanza when Jordyn Miller's double scored Bost and Cheyanne Brown.

The Pride went back out in front in the third thanks to a pair of tallies but the Dutchmen took their first lead of the game in the bottom half when Alissa Robinson's two-out single to left field allowed Emily Johnson to score from third base after Bost and Brown plated earlier in the frame.

Widener answered right back with five runs on six hits in the top of the fourth. An LVC error hurt as it allowed three unearned runs to score. Before the inning was out, however, the Dutchmen cut the deficit to one run thanks to a three run bottom half. This time, a Pride error aided Lebanon Valley in plating a run before Miller drove in two more with a two-out single through the left side.

Bost got a two-out rally going in the fifth with a triple before Brown singled to score her and tie the game at 9-9. Johnson laced a double to right center field that drove in Brown and put LVC back in front 10-9 before Widener responded in the top of the sixth.

- Alexis Schengrund earned her fifth win of the year for Widener, throwing the final 2.1 innings and allowing just one hit and one walk.
