How It HappenedSammy Bost had three hits and stole three bases, and 
Emily Johnson drove in three runs in Lebanon Valley's 5-1 win at Elizabethtown in the opening contest of a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday afternoon.
Johnson's first-inning double to left center field drove in Bost and 
Cheyanne Brown to put LVC (5-4) on the board first after the pair of speedsters led off the game with back-to-back singles.
Bost scored her second run of the contest in the top of the third after singling, stealing second base, and advancing to third on a wild pitch. 
Kelli Valle's two-out single up the middle brought her home to up the advantage to 3-0.
Pitcher 
Haley Christensen worked out of a jam in the top of the fourth and the Flying Dutchmen added two more runs in the top of the next frame. Johnson's second double of the day plated Bost and Christensen's sacrifice fly drove in Brown two batters later.
The Blue Jays (6-9) got on the board with a lone run in the bottom of the fifth and threatened by loading the bases in the bottom of the seventh but Christensen got Etown's Kelsey Brown to fly out to shortstop to leave them loaded end the game.
Inside the Circle- 
Haley Neff got the start for LVC and threw three scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and no walks to go along with a strikeout.
- 
Haley Christensen picked up her second win of the young season, throwing the final four frames, allowing just one run on eight hits. She struck out one Blue Jay batter.
- Elizabethtown's Amber Sergas took the loss, allowing five runs on eight hits and a walk. She added three strikeouts.
At the Plate- 
Sammy Bost went 3-for-4 from the dish with three runs scored.
- 
Emily Johnson had both of LVC's extra-base hits. She laced two doubles and drove in a game-high three runs.
- Etown outhit the Dutchmen 10-8 but managed just one run. All the team's base knocks were singles.
- The Blue Jays left nine runners on base.
Around the Diamond- 
Sammy Bost stole three bases and 
Cheyanne Brown swiped a bag of her own.
- The Dutchmen committed the only error of the contest.

Alissa Robinson racked up five assists at third base.

Liz Bauer recorded three putouts at second base, while fellow infielders Robinson,

How It HappenedHolly Langdon worked out of a bases-loaded jam and 
Jordyn Miller laid out to keep two ground balls from leaving the infield in the seventh inning to secure Lebanon Valley the doubleheader sweep of Elizabethtown with a 1-0 victory.
With the Flying Dutchmen (6-4) clinging to a one-run lead with two away in the bottom of the seventh, Miller made a game-saving stop at shortstop, diving to her right and knocking down hard hit ball to keep the Blue Jays' Emma Varrato from scoring from second base. One at-bat later, Langdon gloved Marissa Kramer's groundball to win the pitcher's duel and clinch the sweep.
For the second straight game, LVC struck first. 
Cheyanne Brown used a bunt single to reach base before stealing second. Miller singled to shortstop to move Brown to third base and 
Kelli Valle singled up the middle with two down to bring home Brown.
From there, Langdon and Etown's Ashley Hullihan battled inside the circle and got great efforts from their defenses behind them. The Dutchmen left runners in scoring position in the second, fourth, fifth, and seventh innings, while the Blue Jays stranded at least one runner in scoring position in all seven innings.
Inside the Circle- 
Holly Langdon earned her first win of the spring after hurling six shutout innings. She allowed 10 hits but ended a handful of Etown threats by stranding runners in scoring position.
- 
Alexa Windsor got the start for LVC and struck out two batters in the first inning before giving way to Langdon in the second.
- Ashley Hullihan pitched well in a losing effort. She allowed just one run on eight hits and two walks. She also struck out five Dutchmen in seven innings of work.
At the Plate- 
Jordyn Miller was the lone Dutchman to have a multi-hit game with three base knocks.
- 
Kelli Valle drove in the game's only run in, scoring 
Cheyanne Brown for what proved to be the game-winning tally in the first inning.
- Emma Varrato was a perfect 3-for-3 for the Blue Jays, while Nicole Fullerton's double was the game's only extra-base hit.
Around the Diamond- 
Cheyanne Brown stole the game's only base in the top of the first.
- The Dutchmen were perfect in the field as E-town committed the only error of the nightcap.
- 
Liz Bauer made four putouts at second base for LVC, while 
Jordyn Miller and 
Holly Langdon assisted on three apiece.
- The teams combined to leave 23 runners on base.
- After completing the sweep on Thursday, LVC has won six games in a row.
