How It HappenedLebanon Valley won its fifth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon at Sorrentino Gymnasium, dominating Arcadia in a 79-48 win. The victory improved the Dutchmen's record to 16-7, 10-4 MAC Commonwealth, while the Knights fell to 9-14, 4-10 MAC Commonwealth.
Early on, Arcadia kept it close as LVC led 7-6 with 7:32 left in the first, but the Knights followed with a jumper to make it 8-7 with 7:06 left in the first. From there, the teams exchanged buckets the Dutchmen held the slight edge at 11-10 with 3:11 left off a good jumper by
Lexie Lantz. From there until the end of the first quarter, LVC outscored the Knights 10-5 and took a 21-15 lead heading into the second quarter.
Up by just six, the Dutchmen took off in the second quarter and never looked back. They began the quarter on an 11-0 run and increased the margin to 17 at 21-15 with 6:37 left in the second. LVC went on to outscore Arcadia 26-10 in the second, and took a commanding 47-25 advantage heading into halftime.
The Dutchmen continued its dominating day in the third quarter and never let the Knights get anywhere near them. In the closing seconds of the quarter, a
Hilary Yoh layup put LVC up by 34 (69-35), which was the score heading into the fourth. In the final quarter, the Dutchmen maintained its large lead and ended with the 79-48 win.
Top Performers - Lantz continued a good week for LVC with 18 points, while adding three blocks.
 - Yoh had one of her best games of the season, going for 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

Alyssa Cirucci was also in double figures in points with 10.

Kiely Chaklos had a game-high five assists, and the Dutchmen had 20 assists on 31 made field goals as a team.
Inside the Numbers - LVC dominated in points off turnovers at 30-8.
 - The Dutchmen bench outscored the Knights' bench by an impressive 49-11 margin.
 - As a team, LVC shot 53.4 percent from the floor, compared to Arcadia's 31 percent.
 - The Dutchmen held the edge in rebounds 37-30.
Playoff PictureThe Dutchmen have clinched a spot in the MAC Commonwealth playoffs, but these final two conference games will determine what seed LVC will be. Albright has already clinched the No. 1 seed.
Who's Next?LVC travels to Grantham, Pa. on Wednesday to battle Messiah at 6 p.m. before returning home next Saturday to host Lycoming in the regular-season home finale.
