How It Happened
READING, Pa. – Needing a win to make next week's MAC Commonwealth Tournament, Lebanon Valley's women's soccer team delivered in a big way with a convincing 5-2 victory over Alvernia on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen finished the regular season at 11-5, 5-3 MACC, while the Knights' season ended at 6-12, 3-5 MACC.

Meghan Ross broke the 0-0 tie in the 24th minute when Laura Zimmermann fed her from the right corner and Ross lofted it over a defender and the goalie and into the net for the 1-0 advantage, a score that stood heading into halftime.

After the break, Johnna Garbrick netted a goal in the 57th when she lifted one from far center and off the keeper's hands for a 2-0 advantage. Four minutes later in the 61st minute, Rileigh Jo Evitts found the back of the net to make it 3-0, and Kira Pushart followed in the 81st minute for her first goal of the season, making it a comfortable 4-0 lead for the Dutchmen.

After Alvernia made it 4-1 off a free kick goal by Taylor Gough, Sam Wright received a cross from Robyn Weiland from the left side and netted her first goal of the season. The Knights added a goal in the final minute, but LVC held on for the 5-2 win to put the Dutchmen into the postseason.

Inside the Numbers
 - The Dutchmen dominated in shots (14-2) and shots on goal (10-2).
 - Reinhold didn't face any shots and improved to 11-5. Erin Angelini relived Reinhold late in the game and recorded just under 10 minutes of action.
 - LVC also held the big advantage in corner kicks at 7-1.
