How It Happened
READING, Pa. – Alvernia scored six and a half minutes into overtime to upset No. 22 Lebanon Valley 1-0 on Saturday in MAC Commonwealth men's soccer action. The Dutchmen ended the regular season at 13-3, 6-2 MACC and the Knights jumped to 6-10-1, 5-2-1 MACC.

In the 97th minute in the first overtime after neither team could find the back of the net in regulation, Alvernia's Adam Orndorff got a pass from David Gonzalez who was at midfield and Orndorff dribbled past LVC defenders and was able to beat Cam Avery to give the Knights the 1-0 win in overtime.

In the beginning of OT, the Dutchmen had a few chances as Nate Gibbons had a shot blocked in the 92nd minute and Cam Alexander's shot in the 96th minute went wide.

Inside the Numbers
 - LVC outshot the Knights 16-13 and had three more shots on goal than Alvernia at 7-4.
 - Avery made six saves on the afternoon.
 - Corner kicks were even at 9-9.

LVC Set to Host MAC Commonwealth Semis
Despite the loss today, the Dutchmen are still the No. 2 seed in next week's MAC Commonwealth Tournament. LVC will host No. 3 Alvernia on Thursday at 2 p.m. No. 1 Messiah awaits the winner of No. 4 Hood and No. 5 Arcadia. A win on Thursday for the Dutchmen will secure them a spot in the MAC Commonwealth Championship match next Saturday.
