LEBANON, Pa. – Lebanon Valley hosted its annual Last Chance Run Fast Invitational at the program's home course of Union Canal Tunnel Park on Friday evening, Oct. 21. The unique meet allows runners from a number of competing teams the opportunity to post qualifying times with season-ending conference championships right around the corner.
Michael Dworzak was LVC's top finisher, crossing the line in 28:50.3 and earning 14th place.
Michael Gang completed the 8k event in 29:05.5, good enough to earn him a 21st-place finish.
Noah Baxter was the third Dutchmen to secure a top-25 finish, as his time of 29:35.2 was good enough for 24th overall.
Nathaniel Clugston came home 35th and
Dustin Shepler wasn't far behind his teammate in 37th place.
Josiah Schendel and
Daniel College rounded out the group of LVC runners in 50th and 51st, respectively.
Sean Hilverding from Point Park won the men's race with a time of 27:27.9. Point Park was also the top team, with three of its runners earning top-10 finishes.
Jeanette Tropp was LVC's highest-finishing women's runner, as her time of 26:15.9 was good enough to secure 25th place.
Alexa Muffly turned in one of her best performances of the fall, crossing the line in 26:59.4 to earn a 30th-place finish, while
Katrina Zicot was solid and finished 36th thanks to her time of 27:35.6.
Lilly Zenner earned a 39th-place finish and
Janessa Cruz wasn't far off her teammate's pace in 44th.
Charlotte Jones completed Lebanon Valley's group of runners with a 61st-place effort.
Point Parks' Jenny Murtha won the 6k women's event with a time of 23:50.4. Point Park also finished as the top team with three of its runners earning top-four finishes and five of its six securing top-10 finishes.
