How It Happened
Lebanon Valley held off a late charge and snapped a two-game skid with a 60-53 victory over longtime rival Albright on Monday night.

Things were tight in the early going with the score tied at 14-14 with 8:03 remaining in the first half. LVC (12-6, 6-3 MAC Commonwealth) used a 9-0 run during which Sam Light scored six straight points and capped by a Travis Conrad 3-ball to create some breathing room for the first time.

A Kyler Burke layup with 50 seconds left in the first half matched the Flying Dutchmen's largest lead of the half at 11 but LVC quickly pushed the advantage to a game-high 15 early in the second when Light converted a layup with 15:58 remaining.

A pair of Collin Moore free throws made it 50-36 with less than 10 minutes left but Albright (6-12, 3-6 MAC Commonwealth) slowly began the climb back into it and eventually pulled to with four points with 4:14 remaining and again at the 3:38 mark.

The Dutchmen had an answer, however, as solid defense kept the Lions at bay and off the scoreboard for more than two and a half minute. Andy Orr, Zach Mrozek, Will Boccanfuso, and Light converted foul shots down the stretch to seal the win and keep LVC within a half game of the top of the MAC Commonwealth standings.

Turning Point
After trailing by as many as 15 points, Albright cut the double-digit deficit to four points with 4:14 remaining. LVC regrouped following a Lions' timeout, holding Albright to just two points over the next 2:37. The Dutchmen used a layup by Andy Orr and free throws by Zach Mrozek and Will Boccanfuso to push the lead to 56-49 with 2:29 left to play, a deficit the Lions couldn't overcome a second time.
