Box Score 2 CORTLAND, N.Y. – Lebanon Valley's volleyball team drop a couple of matches on Friday evening at the Cortland Red Dragon Classic. The Dutchmen fell in the first match to Buffalo State 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 19-25, 22-25) before dropping a tough five-setter to Fredonia St. 3-2 (25-13, 25-21, 20-25, 22-25, 10-15).
LVC Stats Against Buffalo St.In the first match against Buffalo St.,
Rachel Moltz was impressive with 42 assists and five service aces, while
Melanie Phifer added two service aces.
Jessica Hamati-Attieh paced the Dutchmen with 13 kills in her first collegiate match, while
Greta Weidemoyer had 10 kills and
Amber Deshong posted eight.
Allie Garrett and
Abbey Barnhart each notched 12 digs in the match for LVC.
The Dutchmen totaled 47 kills in today's first match against the Bengals, as well as 10 service aces compared to Buffalo St.'s nine. LVC also racked up an impressive 72 digs, while the Bengals recorded 49.
LVC Stats Against Fredonia St.Against the Blue Devils, Deshong posted a team-high 10 kills, while Weidemoyer finished with nine and Phifer had eight. Moltz continued to rack up the assists with 31 in the match, while
Allison Cable dug out 23 balls.
Who's Next?Tomorrow, the Dutchmen conclude the Cortland Red Dragon Classic with matches against Rochester (11 a.m.) and SUNY Geneseo (1:30 p.m.).
