How it HappenedANNVILLE, Pa. - The Flying Dutchmen held the No. 12 team in the nation in check for the entire first half, thanks to several brilliant saves by
Cam Avery. The Diplomats broke through, however, in the 80th minute when Vince Parry ran down the left side and centered the ball to Janse Schermerhorn, who put the ball through the right side of the goal to give F&M the late 1-0 advantage.
In the 86th minute, the Diplomats tacked on another goal when Ugo Okolie centered the ball and Chase TenBrook scored from about 15 yards out for a 2-0 F&M lead.
Notable Defensive PerformancesAvery was impressive in net, making eight saves and keeping the match within reach several times with stellar saves.

Next Time OutThis Saturday marks the first game of a five-game road trip for the Dutchmen. On Saturday they will battle DeSales in Elizabethtown, Pa. as part of the Blue Jay/Red Devil Classic and on Sunday the squad travels to Carlisle, Pa. to take on Dickinson. Both contests are slated for a 4 p.m. start.
