How It HappenedLebanon Valley stretched its win streak to six games and improved to 4-0 in Commonwealth Conference play with a 15-7 win at Arcadia.
The Dutchmen (8-4, 4-0 CC) outshot the Knights (9-3, 2-2 CC) as they never trailed in the game.
Tori Kuntz led LVC with four goals, while
Bailey Benz,
Jenny Simensky, and
Sam Boyce each had hat tricks. The win sets up a first-place battle at Messiah (7-4, 3-0 CC) on Saturday.
After a defensive opening quarter-hour, LVC took control of the game with a 5-1 run to end the half as Boyce scored a first-half hat trick and Kuntz notched her first two.
The second half proved to be more offensive-minded, and after both teams traded runs, Arcadia pulled as close as 11-7 with 5:32 left. The Dutchmen ended the game on a four-goal run, however, thanks to two goals from
Anna Pagels and additional markers by Simensky and Kuntz.
Notables-
Tori Kuntz continued her hot play with four goals, her third straight game with four or more. Kuntz has scored 15 of her 22 goals this season in Commonwealth Conference play and has scored in each of her 10 games played and has a 13-game scoring streak stretching back to last season.

Sam Boyce moved into second place on the LVC career scoring list with her three goals, surpassing former attackmate
Mel Modrick '14. Boyce, a junior, has 139 career goals. With two assists, she also joined
Bailey Benz and Hana Krechel '13 as the only three players in program history to reach 50 career helpers.
- LVC's midfield defense continued its dominance, holding Arcadia to a 9-for-20 clear rate. It was the fourth straight game that LVC held its opponent to a sub-.500 clear rate.
Anna Pagels led the effort with three caused turnovers; Benz had two.

Morgan Heller led the defense with two caused turnovers and four ground balls. She was one of three Dutchmen to scoop up four grounders along with
Emma Jones and
Laura Schmidt.
- LVC led 14-10 on draws, paced by Jones' four controls and three by Kuntz. It resulted in a 30-21 shots advantage for the Dutchmen.

Shelby Morris made nine saves off facing 21 Arcadia shots to improve to 8-4 this season.
The Playoff PushAt 4-0, LVC is in first place in the Commonwealth Conference and could conceivably clinch a postseason berth as early as Saturday with a win, Arcadia loss, and Albright win.
