Game 1
Lebanon Valley couldn't overcome four errors in the team's 9-1 loss to Commonwealth Conference rival Messiah in game one of a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon.

The Falcons (12-6, 3-0 CC) capitalized on three Flying Dutchmen (5-10, 2-3 CC) errors and jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning. All seven runs were unearned.

Messiah padded its lead with two more runs in the fourth but LVC avoided the shutout when Jordyn Miller singled up the middle and plated Sammy Bost in the bottom of the frame.

Game 2
Trailing by four in the seventh inning, Lebanon Valley loaded the bases but couldn't pull off the comeback in the Flying Dutchmen's 10-7 loss to Messiah in the nightcap of the teams' Commonwealth doubleheader.

The visitors (13-6, 4-0 CC) used two doubles and a triple to plate three in the top of the first and a three-run home run in the second to up their advantage to 5-0.

Haley Christensen scored the first LVC (5-11, 2-4 CC) run thanks to a Kim Ortiz-Marrero ground ball in the bottom of the second.

The Falcons used another homer in the third to increase their lead to a seemingly comfortable 7-1 margin but the Dutchmen bats came to life in the bottom of the frame. A Jordyn Miller double plated Cheyanne Brown and Jasmine Dutton's single to left field drove in Miller a few at-bats later. Angela Harris cut the deficit to 7-6 when during the ensuing at-bat, she launched one over the left field fence, bringing Dutton and Haley Christensen home with her.

A lead-off double allowed Messiah to create some breathing room in the fourth but LVC wouldn't go away. Tessa Deardorff reached third base and Sammy Bost stole second to put runners in scoring position in the sixth but the home team failed to capitalize.

In the seventh, the Dutchmen loaded the bases and added a run when Christensen alertly crossed the plate following an errant throw on a Falcon double play attempt. Unfortunately, that's as close as Lebanon Valley would get as Deardorff's screamer was snagged by the third baseman to end the game.
