Game 1
Jordyn Miller's two-run home run nearly led Lebanon Valley to a comeback victory over Alvernia in game one of a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon but Lebanon Valley stranded runners on second and third to end the game, falling to Alvernia 3-2.

With her team trailing 3-0 in the top of the seventh inning, Miller homered and brought Angela Harris around with her to cut the deficit to 3-2. With two outs, Jorey Aumiller walked and Tessa Deardorff singled before the pair moved into scoring position on a passed ball. But the Crusaders (10-9, 4-5 CC) got the fly out they needed to stop the LVC (6-17, 3-6 CC) comeback and seal the win in the opener.

Game 2
Lebanon Valley saw a two-run lead evaporate in the bottom of the seventh inning as Alvernia plated three runs in the stanza to earn a sweep of the teams' Commonwealth Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.

Trailing by two and down to their final three outs, the Crusaders (11-9, 5-5 CC) used two singles, two walks, a fielder's choice, and a Flying Dutchmen (6-18, 3-7 CC) error to complete the come-from-behind win in the final frame.

After the home team jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first, runs were hard to come by until LVC scored twice in the fourth when Angela Harris' double to right-center field drove in Sammy Bost and Haley Christensen's single plated Harris, giving the Dutchmen their first lead of the day at 2-1.

The visitors doubled their advantage in the top of the fifth when Emily Johnson's two-out single allowed Bost and Tessa Deardorff to cross the dish.

Alvernia cut the deficit to one in the bottom of the sixth but Lebanon Valley gave itself more of a cushion when Bost singled up the middle and drove in Elaine Gross in the top of the next frame. But the Crusaders had enough firepower left in the tank and walked off in the bottom the stanza.
