How It Happened
Lebanon Valley's defense, which held Delaware Valley to just 17 points in the second half, has the Flying Dutchmen advancing to the ECAC South semifinals thanks to a 71-52 win over Delaware Valley on Wednesday night.

Alex Lehman's jumper gave LVC its first lead of the game at 12-11 at the 11:06 mark but a 19-7 Del Val run over the next 6:14 gave the Aggies a 29-19 lead, their largest of the night, with 4:52 left in the half. Bridget Rothert's healthy three-ball from just a few steps inside the half court line cut the deficit to four and energized the Dutchmen heading into the break.

After intermission, it was all Lebanon Valley as the Dutchmen netted the half's first ten points and held Delaware Valley scoreless for 6:22. LVC shot 48.3 percent from the field, including 50 percent from distance, in the final 20 minutes and fouled out Aggie leading-scorer Brenna Coll with 8:59 left to play.

Del Val drew even at 42-42 with 12:01 remaining but the Dutchmen responded with a commanding 19-4 run capped by a Maureen Fleming layup off a Rothert assist with 6:27 to go. LVC locked it in down the stretch and held the Aggies to just six points in the final 8:20.

Quotables

Stat of the Game
17-4 – The advantage Lebanon Valley held in the offensive rebounds category.
