Game 1Stevenson scored first, padded its lead, and held off a late Lebanon Valley comeback attempt to top the Flying Dutchmen 8-4 in game one of a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader in Owings Mills, Md. on Sunday afternoon.
Jasmyn Ogleltree homered twice for the Mustangs (6-6, 3-0 CC), both two-run shots, in the third inning and in the sixth inning, bookending the home team's scoring in the opener. Stevenson plated three in the third and three in the fifth before the Dutchmen (4-9, 1-2 CC) got on the board.
After
Tessa Deardorff scored on a throwing error early in the sixth,
Emily Johnson drove in
Cheyanne Brown with a single up the middle.
Jordyn Miller followed it up with an RBI single that scored
Sammy Bost and
Liz Bauer plated when the Mustangs committed their second error of the stanza.
Ogletree's homer in the bottom of the frame sealed the win for Stevenson.
Game 2After falling behind 5-0, Lebanon Valley scored eight unanswered runs to earn a split with Stevenson in the teams' doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.
The Mustangs (6-7, 3-1 CC) plated one in the first and four in the second, giving themselves a comfortable 5-0 advantage heading into the third inning. But
Jordyn Miller's RBI single plated
Tessa Deardorff in the bottom of the frame, eliminating the shutout and sparking some life in LVC (5-9, 2-2 CC).
Miller picked up her second RBI of the game when her groundout scored Deardorff again in the fifth. In the sixth,
Jorey Aumiller singled and plated
Elaine Gross to cut the deficit to 5-3 and Deardorff's groundout allowed
Jasmine Dutton to cross the plate, leaving the Dutchmen trailing by just one entering the final inning,
In the seventh, Gross' single, Dutton's double, and Aumiller's sacrifice fly plated
Sammy Bost, Gross,
Kelli Valle, and Dutton to not only give LVC its first lead, but a comfortable cushion entering the last half inning.
Haley Christensen sat the Mustangs down 1-2-3 to seal Lebanon Valley's fifth win of the year.

Haley Christensen (4-3) threw a complete game in the finale, earning the win and allowing five runs on ten hits and four walks. She also struck out four Mustangs.
