How It HappenedLebanon Valley rode a dominating defensive performance and a season-best offensive output to beat Misericordia, 12-5, at Arnold Field.

Sam Boyce paced the offense while
Shelby Morris locked down goal with nine saves and only five goals allowed.
Jenny Simensky scored a pair and
Emma Jones,
Haley Patrick,
Nikki Lloyd, and
Tori Kuntz got goals in as well while the defense worked two 18+ minute scoreless stretches against Misericordia (0-1).
LVC never trailed in the game, using a 5-0 run in the middle of the first half to take a commanding 6-1 lead. Boyce opened the scoring before Benz hit two straight, and goals by Simensky sandwiched around Kuntz's strike gave LVC full control of the game. Misericordia broke an 18-minute scoreless stretch with two goals before the half, but Lebanon Valley responded with Jones' strike to open the second and another dominating period in the second half. After Melina Juliano scored with 22:44 to go, the Cougars didn't hit again until the 1:45 mark as Benz, Patrick, and Boyce (twice) piled on to the lead.
Notables- LVC led 28-23 on shots but Misericordia was actually ahead 16-11 at the half despite only three goals in the period.
- Draw controls were dominated by the Dutchmen 13-6, led by Jones' four snags and two each by Boyce, Benz, and Lloyd. The midfield success extended to clears, where LVC was a perfect 17-of-17.
- Benz and Boyce had three assists apiece for LVC.
- LVC (1-3) allowed only five goals for the second time this season, along with the opener at York in double overtime.

Nikki Lloyd scored her first career goal in the final minute of the game. She added two draw controls.
