How It HappenedAlvernia led wire-to-wire, shooting an eye-popping 60.4 percent for the game with 15 three-pointers, to beat Lebanon Valley 88-56 in the regular season's penultimate game.
The Dutchmen (12-12, 6-9 CC) simply couldn't contain the hot-shooting Crusaders (14-9, 9-6 CC), who were led by Charles Cooper and Mike Miller's 21 points apiece as the pair combined for 13 of the team's 15 three-pointers. Alvernia shot 59.3 percent in the first half to lead 46-27 at the break, then was even hotter in the second to initiate a decisive 24-3 run.

- LVC shuffled the starting line-up to include
Ricky Bugg and
Luke Berguson; Berguson had a hot start with eight of LVC's first 14 points, eventually scoring 11, and he handed out five assists. Bugg scored 11 on a perfect 5-for-5 night.
- Alvernia had five players in double digits, all of whom shot 53 percent or better. Miller was 6-for-7, all from beyond the arc, and all seven of Cooper's field goals were threes.
- LVC shot a respectable 46 percent overall, but went to the line a season-low six times and had 14 turnovers to only six for the Crusaders.
