How It HappenedA pair of goals early in the second half were too much for Lebanon Valley to overcome in the team's 2-1 loss in the regular-season finale on Tuesday night.
The win wrapped up the number two seed in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth postseason tournament for the Mustangs (11-8, 5-2 MAC Commonwealth) while LVC (10-7, 5-2 MAC Commonwealth) will head back to Stevenson for semifinal action as the tourney's number three seed next Wednesday.
After a scoreless first half, Rosemarie Neiva netted back-to-back goals in the 43rd and 49th minutes to give the Mustangs a lead the Flying Dutchmen couldn't overcome.
Kristen Garman cut the deficit in half when she converted a penalty stroke in with less than three minutes remaining. LVC was awarded two penalty corners in the game's final minute but the Dutchmen got off just one shot and
Lyndee Sheaffer's attempt was turned away by Stevenson goalkeeper Kim Hahr.

Kristen Garman – ByDeLey made seven saves on the night and held the Stevenson offense under its 2.3 goals per game average. Garman kept LVC in it when she netted her third goal of the season; a penalty stroke with less than three minutes left to play.
Inside the Numbers- Tonight's game was the fifth in a row between LVC and Stevenson that was decided by one goal dating back to 2012.
- LVC is the number three seed in next week's MAC Commonwealth tournament. Messiah is the top overall seed, Stevenson is the number two seed, and Albright is the number four seed.
