How It Happened
No. 18 Messiah handed Lebanon Valley its first MAC Commonwealth loss of the season, shutting out the Flying Dutchmen 3-0 and ending the team's recent six-game win-streak in the process.

The Falcon offense was potent while LVC's struggled to get much going, evidenced by the Dutchmen managing just two shots on the night while the reigning MAC Commonwealth champions got off 21, including seven on target.

Despite spending the majority of the first half on the defensive end, Lebanon Valley managed to keep the home team off the board until Kristin Donohue netted her first goal of the season off an assist from Kaylor Rosenberry with 6:56 remaining until halftime.

Taylor Holt doubled the Falcon advantage with a goal off a Rosenberry centering pass 15 minutes into the second half. Kezia Loht put the game out of reach when she finished off Carissa Gehman's lob pass inside the circle with 8:07 left to play.

Brittany Fleisher and Rachel Gorman managed the only LVC shots of the contest. Fleisher's attempt came in the eighth minute but was turned away by Messiah goalkeeper Shelby Landes. Gorman's effort came with less than a minute remaining in the first half but again Landes made the save.

Inside the Numbers
