How It Happened
Lebanon Valley was narrowly defeated by the MAC-Commonwealth's top team, Lycoming, by a 1-0 score on Tuesday afternoon at Herbert Field.

Few good chances arose for each team in the first half as both defenses were not allowing the offenses to break through. The score was tied at halftime, however the beginning of the second half saw more chances than the entire first half. For the first few minutes of the second half, the Dutchmen saw a couple of good chances to score and as did Lycoming, however neither team was able to find the back of the net.

In the 74th minute, the Warriors finally broke through and scored on a bizarre and controversial goal. Lycoming's Jason Coles ripped a shot that went off Cam Avery's fingertips, but then hit off Kyle Stettenbauer's shoulder and into the net for the tally. LVC was unable to find the equalizer and the Warriors held on for the slim victory.

Inside the Numbers
 - Lycoming led in shots at 13-6 and corner kicks at 9-3.
 - Avery made four stops on the day, while Alex Detweiler led the Dutchmen with three shots.

Playoff Picture
LVC fell to 6-9, 3-3 MAC-Commonwealth but is still tied for second with nine points with Messiah. Lycoming has control over the one-seed with 16 points, and Arcadia sits in fourth (eight points), followed by Hood and Widener (six points).

Who's Next?
The Dutchmen will enjoy an eight-day break until Oct. 28 when LVC celebrates senior day with a matchup against Hood at 3:30 p.m.
