Swimming Takes Down FDU-Florham

- Lebanon Valley swept FDU-Florham on Saturday, winning 18 events overall.

For the women, Kyra Valent cruised to a 12:25.10 win in the 1,000-yard freestyle, then later won the 100 free in 1:01.40. Alayna Kalinay was also a double winner, in the 200 free (2:15.80) and 100 back (1:07.70). Katie Frace added a 200 IM victory in 2:38.20 to go with her 100 breaststroke win (1:23.60). After finishing second in the 1,000 free, Marie Gorman won the 500 at 6:36.60

On the men's side, Ian Lloyd swam LVC's fastest 200-yard IM since 1993, winning in 2:04.10 just 0.34 seconds off the program record. Garrett Collins captured both the 200 free (1:58.70) and 500 free (5:34.30), and Nate Ginder won the 100-fly in 1:03.80. Chris Kurtz took the 100 free in 52.50, and Clay Heebner cruised in the 100 back (1:02.20). Bobby Burkhart capped the individual events with his 1:05.90 victory in the 100 breaststroke.

All four LVC relays were first; the men's 200 free team (Corvino, Collins, Heebner, Carroll) touched in 1:37.70, and the 200 medley relay (Heebner, Burkhart, Lloyd, Kurtz) finished first in 1:47.30. The women's 200 free relay (Ortiz, Roberts, Hiller, Valent) won in 1:54.00 after the 200 medley relay (Kalinay, Frace, Ortiz, Roberts) won in 2:09.20 to start the meet.
