Box Score GENEVA, N.Y. - Three second-half goals kept Lebanon Valley undefeated as they beat St. Lawrence, 4-1, in the William Smith Tournament opener.
Brittany Fleisher scored twice after halftime, and
Lyndee Sheaffer and
Kelsey Heck added goals to push LVC's record to 6-0 ahead of their match-up with #15 William Smith on Sunday.
Lebanon Valley dominated the stats sheet with 23 shots to SLU's 4, and they led 15-4 on corners.
Kendra Moll (6-0) made one save in the win, with Kim Haab stopped 12 to keep St. Lawrence in it.
Sheaffer hit 6:06 into the game on a rebound putback to take an early lead, but St. Lawrence stole the equalizer back when Mikaela Thompson scored on a deflection in front of cage at 28:08.
The Dutchmen roared out of th ehalf and went ahead when Fleisher beat a defense to a loose ball to score at 43:05, and the freshman potted her second just after the hour with a deflected shot from the left. Heck capped the win with a tip-in at 65:58 to finish it 4-1.
