CHESTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's lacrosse team used seven points from sophomore Sam Boyce to cap the regular season with a 16-9 win over Widener on Wednesday evening in Chester, Pa.

Boyce tallied three goals and four assists to lead three LVC attackers with five or more points in the game. Juniors Anna Pagels and Bailey Benz joined her with six and five points, respectively.

Despite falling into a 3-1 hole early, a five-goal run from the Dutchmen from the 18:00 mark to the 5:03 mark in the first half gave the Valley the lead for good, up 6-3. A Widener tally at the 1:17 mark ended the run, but two more LVC goals at the end of the half sent the teams into the locker room with LVC up, 8-4.

The Valley opened the game up in the second half following a Widener goal out of the locker room with another run, this time four goals to make it 14-5 with 9:43 to play. The Pride tallied four of the last six goals in the final 9:18 to move the final to 16-9.

Sophomore Shelby Morris picked up her 13th win of the year, making seven saves in the victory. The Dutchmen led in shots, 28-21, and ground balls, 19-16. Additionally, LVC's ride forced Widener into a sluggish 6-for-17 on clear attempts.

The Valley enters the Commonwealth Conference Tournament as the likely three seed and will travel to either Stevenson or Messiah in the semifinals on April 30.
