ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's lacrosse team dominated from start to finish on Senior Night, defeating Elizabethtown, 18-4, on Thursday evening at Arnold Field.

Senior Mel Modrick shined offensively, notching five goals and an assist, while junior Bailey Benz also added a six-point performance with a goal and five assists. Modrick and classmates Taylor Kruter, Sara Vanderbogart, and Corinne Palombo were honored prior to the game with a Senior Night ceremony.

The win moves the Valley to 12-3 on the year overall and marks the program's first-ever win over Elizabethtown, who drops to 1-11 on its 2014 campaign.

The Valley had this one pretty much in hand for the majority of the contest, socring 10 straight goals to open the game before Elizabethtown tallied its first with 4:39 to play in the opening half and the game went into the break with LVC up, 10-1.

The game was much of the same in the second as the Dutchmen streaked for seven straight before the Blue Jays found the back of the net three times in the final 7:21 to make the final, 18-4.

Sophomore Shelby Morris made three saves in the win, moving her to 12-3 on the year, while Elizabethtown's Beata Palosz and Shayla Leibel combined for seven saves, while Palosz took the loss, her 11th of the season.

LVC led in shots, 26-7, ground balls, 17-9, and draw controls, 18-6. The ride was excellent again as the Blue Jays were just 7-for-18 in clear attempts, while LVC went 9-for-9.

The Dutchmen travel to Chester on Tuesday for the regular-season finale against Widener at 7 p.m.
