Lebanon Valley 11, Ursinus 4
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley's midfield and defense distrupted Ursinus all game long, shutting down the Bears to spark an 11-4 win at Arnold Field.
The Dutchmen (3-2) benefited from
Sam Boyce's four goals on offense, but the defense and midfield transition set the tone as LVC had 17 caused turnovers and held the Bears (1-1) to only 7-for-23 on clear attempts.
Boyce had two assists to go with her goal total, and she also played aggressively in midfield with four draw controls and five ground balls.
Anna Pagels added two goals and two assists.
Tori Kuntz and

Sara Vanderbogart caused three turnovers on defense with four ground balls.
The game got off to a slow start, tied 2-2 after 22 minutes of play, but the Dutchmen hit a 4-0 run to end the half on goals by
Mel Modrick, Boyce, Benz, and Kuntz to lead 5-2 at the break. That would be the start of a 7-0 streak wrapped around halftime as LVC held Ursinus scoreless for more than 25 minutes while building the lead to 8-2.
Ursinus finally scored with 14:45 left but was quickly answered by
Taylor Kruter, and late goals by Boyce and
