Women’s Lax Set for LAX4LIFE Game on Saturday

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's lacrosse team will be hosting their annual LAX4LIFE game on Saturday in a critical conference matchup with Messiah at 1 p.m.

LAX4LIFE is a national lacrosse campaign to provide and support programs geared toward adolescent and young adult suicide prevention awareness.

"Our team is excited to host our second LAX4LIFE game on Saturday," head coach Jackie Dando said. "I have a personal connection with the LAX4LIFE and Allyson Rose Green foundations and believe in supporting suicide awareness and prevention programs. We will be selling t-shirts, seat cushions, and sponsoring goals during the event. The team is looking forward to a competitive conference game and playing for an even better cause."

The team will be wearing special orange LAX4LIFE t-shirts before the game and those shirts as well as seat cushions will be sold during the game with all proceeds going back to the LAX4LIFE organization. Fans are encouraged to wear orange and a goal-a-thon will be set-up, encouraging fans to sponsor one dollar per goal for the cause and encouraging the team to continue to score throughout the game.

The Dutchmen are 8-2 overall this season and enter Saturday's matchup with an undefeated 2-0 conference record with decisive victories over Hood (18-0) and Lycoming (16-4). Messiah currently sits at 3-5 on the year and will open conference play in Annville.
