ANNVILLE, Pa. – A trifecta of hat tricks led the Lebanon Valley women's lacrosse team to a 15-11 victory over Goucher on Saturday afternoon at Arnold Field.

Senior Taylor Kruter, junior Jenny Simensky and sophomore Sam Boyce all tallied three goals apiece for the Dutchmen attack. Junior Bailey Benz was an assist machine once again, adding five helpers to her one goal for six points on the day and senior Mel Modrick and junior Anna Pagels added four and three points, respectively.

Goucher's Erin Reifsnyder was the offense for the Gophers, tallying five goals on the afternoon. Anneke Ossorio and Hannah Mae Brown each posted two goals to round out the opposing attack.

The Valley held the possession for the majority of the game, leading in shots, 30-24, and ground balls, 34-22. Goucher held a slight edge in draw controls, 15-13.

Sophomore Shelby Morris picked up her second win of the season between the pipes, making five saves on the day. Goucher's Emily Gill was impressive with nine saves, suffering the second loss of her year.

The Dutchmen jumped all over the Gophers from the beginning, scoring the first four goals, including two connections from Boyce and Benz. Goucher went on to score four of the next seven goals to slowly climb back in it and take the game to halftime, down 7-4.

The two sides traded goals throughout the second half, but the Valley defense used a "bend, don't break" mentality, not allowing Goucher to closer than four goals for the remainder of the game and sealing it with a 15-11 final.

Next up for LVC is a trip to Muhlenberg on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
