BRUNSWICK, Maine – After dropping a hard fought 3-2 decision to the hosts from Bowdoin in the opener on Saturday, Oct. 18, Lebanon Valley earned an impressive 3-2 victory over Babson in the team's final match at the Bowdoin Quad. The win over the Beavers, the #2 team in the New England region, snapped the program's record-breaking 15-match win-streak.
The Dutchmen defeated Babson in a very competitive match by set scores of 25-19, 13-25, 19-25, 25-21, and 15-5. Lebanon Valley racked up 47 total kills with senior captain
Kayla Confer leading the way with 11. Sophomore

Allie Garrett were the team's leaders in the digs department with 17 apiece. Sides dug out eight Beaver attempts and sophomore
Rachel Moltz had seven digs of her own. Weidemoyer had the team's lone solo block while Confer, Quirk, freshman
Nina Mentzer, Sides, and Weidemoyer all assisted on stops.
Musselman, the team's main setter, racked up a match-high 33 assists. The team earned nine total service aces with Moltz accounting for three and Sides earning two.
In the Dutchmen's first outing of the day, they jumped out to a 2-0 advantage before the hosts won the final three sets in the first of two evenly matched contests. LVC fell to Bowdoin by set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 19-25, and 9-15. Four Dutchmen in Weidemoyer, Sides, Confer, and Quirk reached the double-digit kills mark. Weidemoyer was tops for Lebanon Valley with 15 while Sides racked up 12 and Confer and Quirk recorded ten each.
The Dutchmen defense was on point and totaled 94 digs with Garrett racking up a career-high 33 on her own. The number is tied for most all-time by an LVC player in a five-set match. Musselman added 20, Sides had 13, and sophomore
Morgan Webb pitched in with ten. Lebanon Valley recorded nine blocks as a team with Mentzer stopping two Bowdoin attempts by herself. Sides, Confer, and Weidemoyer also had solo blocks.
Musselman assisted on a match-best 38 points while Sides, Moltz, and Weidemoyer recorded two service aces apiece against the host school.
Lebanon Valley finished up their weekend at the Bowdoin Quad 2-1 overall and improved their record to 20-5 on the year. The Dutchmen will get back to Commonwealth Conference play on Wednesday night, Oct. 22 when they host Messiah at Sorrentino Gymnasium. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
