Lebanon Valley College 3, Arcadia University (25-10, 25-20, 25-12)
ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley volleyball team used 16 service aces, including nine in the first set, to take care of Arcadia on Tuesday evening in three sets.
With the win, the Dutchmen remain undefeated in league play moving to 4-0. In a match that took just over an hour the Valley cruised to 25-10, 25-20, and 25-12 set victories for the win.
Senior
Kayla Confer led the way from the service line with six aces, including four-in-a-row during the first set. Freshmen
Rachel Moltz and
Greta Weidemoyer added three aces apiece.
Offensively, Weidemoyer tallied eight kills and Confer and senior
Megan Schoch added six kills each. Junior Kacey Mussleman was effective in her passing with 26 assists and picked up a double-double, adding 11 digs.
Defensively, senior
Jess Finlayson led the way with 12 digs and Schoch added two block assists at the net.
Next up for the Dutchmen is a trip to Towson, Md. over the weekend to compete in the Goucher Tournament.
