Lebanon Valley College 3, Frostburg State 1 (25-15, 25-13, 22-25, 25-19)
BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Lebanon Valley women's volleyball team picked up a four-set victory over Frostburg State in its opening match of the Bridgewater Quad on Friday evening.
Following two dominating set victories in the first set, 25-15, and the second set, 25-13, Frostburg woke up in the third with a 25-22 win to get back in the match. However, the Dutchmen proved the better side in the fourth, pulling away with the victory, 25-19.
Junior
Kacey Musselman posted yet another double-double with 35 assists and 14 digs. Musselman has now recorded eight double-doubles in her first 12 matches of the year.
Offensively, freshman
Greta Weidemoyer was dominant with 19 kills and five service aces. Freshman
Rachel Moltz also tallied five aces, while senior
Megan Schoch put away eight kills. Moltz and freshman
Morgan Webb helped out defensively with 12 and 11 digs, respectively.
LVC continues tournament play tomorrow, taking on Neumann at 10 a.m. and Bridgewater at 12 p.m.
