EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. – Rachel Cummings finished a feed from Amanda Douglass in the 77th minute and LVC and Wilkes played out two overtime sessions for a 1-1 tie on Friday afternoon.

Less than two minutes into the contest, Wilkes' Sarah Wasley sent a ball across the front of the goal and found Alicia Roberts, who headed it past LVC goalkeeper Becca Sykes for the early 1-0 lead.

That lead held for the next 75 minutes until Cummings and Douglass connected in the center of the box to tie the game at 1-1. The best chance for the LVC win came in the 98th minute when a Douglass shot ricocheted off the crossbar.

Sykes earned the win, making three saves on the day, moving her record to 2-2-1 on the year. The Valley held the edge in both shots and corner kicks, 18-12 and 6-4, respectively.

The Valley returns home tomorrow afternoon for a meeting with Susquehanna at 12 p.m. at Herbert Field.
