Lebanon Valley 18, Albright 6
READING, Pa. - Lebanon Valley picked up where it left off Wednesday night, posting a big offensive performance as it trounced Albright 18-6 in a replay of their suspended Commonwealth Conference game.
The Dutchmen (8-2, 3-1 CC) handed the Lions (8-3, 2-2 CC) just their third loss of the season as the two teams made up their game that was halted by a thunderstorm late in the first half Wednesday night. Although LVC led 9-4 at that time, by rule, the game had to be restarted, but that didn't phase LVC's offense as it raced out to a 12-1 halftime lead.
Hana Krechel had a huge day, scoring eight goals with three assists, and
Tori Kuntz posted a career-high four goals.
Allison McGinniss had a hat trick while
Bailey Benz had a career-best five assists to go with two goals;
Erica Ameigh anchored the defense with six saves.
Amanda Smith led Albright with three goals, including the opener less than a minute in, but LVC scored the next 14 in a row, holding the hosts scoreless for nearly 33 minutes.
LVC controlled the game in shots (31-14) and draw controls (18-8), and held Albright to 6-for-11 on clears. Emily Hutson had seven saves for the Lions.
Lebanon Valley returns home to host Alvernia April 17.
