Lebanon Valley 59, Baruch 53
ANNVILLE, Pa. - #20 Lebanon Valley came away with a 59-53 win over #24 Baruch Friday night to advance to the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship tournament.
Caitlin Bach was a star for LVC with 22 points and six rebounds.

Renee Fritz each scored nine.
Chaklos sank a layup just four seconds into the game, and the Dutchmen were able to maintain a lead through the entire first half despite being outrebounded, 21-18. The team opened the game on an 11-0 run and rallied behind 11 first-half points from Bach, who shot 4-for-6 from the floor.
The Bearcats (26-3) came out hot in the second half and tied the game at 27-27 three minutes in and led by as many as nine points.
LVC needed to rally at the end to earn the win, scoring the final six points of the game to turn a 53-53 tie into the 59-53 final. The run began on an and-one conversion by
Alyssa Cirucci, who scored her only points of the game with 26 seconds on the clock. Chaklos and Bach were also able to sink foul shots as Baruch fought to keep the game alive.
The Dutchmen (24-4) will play #5 Montclair State - winners of Friday night's early game - at 6 p.m. Saturday. Montclair State (28-0) remained undefeated by beating Regis College in an 87-47 final. The Red Hawks have won every game by double digits this season and boast a tall, athletic team with seven players 5'10" or taller.
