ANNVILLE, Pa. – Senior goalkeeper
Brian Frasca stopped a penalty kick and sophomore
Cam Alexander notched his seventh tally of the year to propel the Lebanon Valley men's soccer team past Arcadia on Saturday afternoon at Herbert Field.
With the win, LVC has clinched the #5 seed in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament and will travel to #4 Lycoming on Monday afternoon for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Warriors came away with a 2-0 victory at Herbert Field in the regular season meeting between the two sides earlier this seaosn.
Following a senior day ceremony that honored LVC's senior class of

Brian Frasca,
Jim Fisher,
Garth Stefan,
Matt Henly,
Ryan Habick, and
Zach Snavely, the game begun with a furious pace. In the 28th minute, sophomores
Connor McDonald and
Cam Alexander connected in the box as Alexander slid it past the Arcadia goalkeeper for the 1-0 advantage.
Just three minutes later, an LVC penalty inside the 18 led to a penalty-kick opportunity that was sure to tie the game at 1-1. However, Frasca had other plans as he chose right, diving to his left and making the save to keep the Dutchmen in front.
Those two plays ended up being all the Valley needed as the defense stood tall throughout the second half to earn the 1-0 victory. Frasca and classmate
James Clements combined on the shutout making three and two saves, respectively.
LVC held an 18-9 shot advantage in the game and a 6-5 edge in corner kicks. Freshman
Gabe Stasyszyn led the offense with five shots, including one off the crossbar, while Alexander added four shots and junior
Kevin Doty chipped in with three.
