ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's soccer team was held scoreless and Lycoming scored twice to come away with the 2-0 win on Tuesday afternoon at Herbert Field.

The game featured just 11 total shots with eight of them coming off the feet of Warrior players. The Valley were frustrated throughout the game, picking up six cards, including a red after his second yellow to junior Kyle Fronk.

In the 24th minute, Lycoming worked a corner-kick opportunity as Moises Lazo stood over the ball in the left corner. Lazo served a beautiful ball into the far side of the box where Connor McNiff headed it down and past LVC senior goalkeeper James Clements to take the 1-0 lead. Clements allowed two goals on the day with three saves, taking his fourth loss of the year.

The Valley tallied just one shot and one corner-kick chance in the first half and moved into the halftime break trailing, 1-0.

The story of the game stayed true in the second half as sloppy play led to the possession edge in Lycoming's favor. In the 77th minute, the Warriors' Adam Kuntz found space on the right of the 18 and ricocheted a shot off the right post and in behind Clements for the insurance tally.

Freshmen Alex Detweiler, Gabe Stasyszyn, and John McHale were the shot takers for the Dutchmen with one apiece. The loss moves LVC to 6-4-2 on the year.

Next up is a meeting with Alvernia at Herbert Field on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
