DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley volleyball team dropped just one set in two victories as part of the MAC Crossover in Doylestown on Saturday afternoon.
In the first match of the day, the Valley took down Delaware Valley, 25-14, 22-25, 25-15, and 25-12. Freshman
Greta Weidemoyer led the attack with 17 digs, while sophomore
Alli Quirk was very efficient with 11 kills on 18 swings with just one error.
The Dutchmen were exceptional again from the service line, tallying 10 aces as a team. Weidemoyer put away five aces, while senior
Jess Finlayson posted three aces and sophomore
Emily Sides recorded two.
At the net, Quirk sent back one solo block and four assist blocks, while junior
Kayla Confer put up one solo block and three assist blocks and Weidemoyer added four assist blocks. Additionally, Finlayson picked up 21 digs defensively.
The Valley cruised in the second match of the day over FDU-Florham, 25-13, 25-16, and 25-12. The attack was evenly spread as Weidemoyer had 13 kills, senior
Megan Schoch had eight, and Quirk and senior
Sarah Godfrey each added six kills apiece.
Again efficient from the service line, junior
Kacey Musselman sent through three service aces, while freshman
Carissa Stottlemyer put down two aces. The team also sent back three blocks at the net.
Next up for the Dutchmen is a matchup with Albright on Tuesday in Reading at 7 p.m.
