ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley volleyball team cruised to a straight-set victory to finish off regular season conference play on Wednesday evening inside LVC gymnasium over Hood.
The win caps off an undefeated conference home slate as the Valley dropped just one set in five conference matches in Annville to Lycoming, a match they won in four.
After firing out of the gate with a 25-14 win in set one, the Valley kept the intensity level high as they took the 2-0 lead with a 25-17 second-set victory. Hood came out in the third determined to force a fourth set, taking a 16-12 lead midway through the game. However, LVC turned it on and rattled off a 13-1 run to end the match with a 25-17 third-set victory.

Kayla Confer led the way in hitting for the eighth straight match, posting 10 kills on 23 attacks with two errors for a .348 hitting percentage. Senior
Megan Schoch chipped in with six kills and freshman
Taylor Troutman added five kills.

Kacey Musselman notched 21 assists on the night, while senior
Jess Finlayson led the defense with 12 digs. From the service line, freshman
Rachel Moltz was stellar with six aces and classmate
Morgan Webb recorded three aces.
Following LVC's tri-match this weekend with Gallaudet and Scranton, the Valley is slotted as the #2 seed in the upcoming Commonwealth Conference Tournament. LVC will face Messiah in a home semifinal match next week.
