POMONA, N.J. – Lebanon Valley outshot the College of New Jersey, 9-7, but were beaten 3-1 on two second-half goals.

Kelly Hess scored on his only shot of the day for the Dutchmen for his first goal of the season. Hess scored in the 8^th minute of the game off of a corner from Travis Miller. The goal put the Dutchmen (4-1) up 1-0 over the Lions (3-2) – an advantage they'd hold until the 27^th minute.
 
Stephen Simonian and Andrew Cooper were the only two players to take multiple shots for LVC. Simonian took a team-high three shots; Cooper took two.
 
James Clements was hit with his first loss of the season in goal. He played the entire game, surrendering all three goals and making three saves.
 
The loss snaps a four-match winning streak for the Dutchmen, and they'll look to rebound at home against Eastern Mennonite Wednesday at 4 p.m.
