Win Over Neumann Sends M. Soccer to ECAC Semifinals

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Four different players scored goals to push Lebanon Valley past Neumann Wednesday afternoon and into the ECAC Division III South semifinals.
 
The Dutchmen (14-5-2) will face Marywood at Penn State Behrend on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the semifinals.
 
Kelly Hess took five of LVC's 16 shots and scored its first goal in the 23rd minute. Cam Alexander floated a cross to the back post where Hess was waiting to finish.
 
Travis Miller was a catalyst in the second half, serving up assists on both of the team's next two goals. Miller served a ball from midfield to the back post for Greg Figueroa in the 50th minute. Figueroa headed the floater to give the Dutchmen a 2-0 edge. Kyle Fronk was the next to hit, converting on a corner kick from Miller that was briefly bobbled by the Neumann defenders.
 
James Clements allowed just one goal in the match – a shot to center goal by Michael Attalian that put Neumann (12-7-3) with two goals. Clements made two saves in the match.
 
Connor McDonald popped a goal over the keeper's head in the 89th minute to lock in the win for LVC. Joe Gallagher picked up an assist for a cross over several defenders.
