Commonwealth Conference Semifinal
Lebanon Valley 1, Elizabethtown 0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley scored just one goal in the first half, but it was enough to give the Dutchmen a 1-0 win over Elizabethtown in the Commonwealth Conference semifinal Friday night.

The Dutchmen (13-4-2) advance to their first-ever CC final, to be played at Messiah on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Friday's game winner went to Andrew Cooper in the 41st minute. Stephen Simonian had a corner kick booted out by a Blue Jays defender, and Cooper was in place to take the rebound and score his sixth goal of the season.

LVC held a 14-9 shot advantage in the match. Clinging to its thin lead, the team worked to keep the ball on the opposite side of the field. The Dutchmen held the Blue Jays (9-7-3) to just two shots in the second half.

Cooper led with four shots, followed by Kelly Hess with three and Cam Alexander and Zach Snavely with two each. James Clements made the start in goal and made four stops.
