Stevi Laird and Nikki Snyder pushed Lebanon Valley past Alvernia 2-0 on Saturday.
The Dutchmen (6-5, 2-1 CC) had an impressive defensive day, holding the Crusaders (6-5-2, 0-2-1 CC) to just a single shot while controlling the offense with 18 chances.
Laird put the Dutchmen on top in the 33rd minute, scoring her second goal in three games off
Amanda Douglass' corner kick. Snyder doubled the lead in the 58th minute, scoring off the dribble for her eighth of the year. The strike takes Snyder's career points total to 90, moving her into sole possession of second on LVC's all-time list just three back of the 93 set by Kim McDonald '04.
Becca Sykes did not need to make a save as her back line kept the Crusaders out of it, working their fifth shutout of the year. Colleen Maher made 11 saves in the losing effort.
LVC visits Lycoming on Wednesday.
