ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Kacey Musselman's triple-double helped power Lebanon Valley to a critical Commonwealth Conference win over league leader Elizabethtown, 3-1, on Wednesday night.

The Dutchmen (10-12, 3-3 CC) kept their name in the playoff race, improving to 3-3 in the league with three matches left to play while dealing the Blue Jays (16-4, 4-1 CC) their first conference loss.

Musselman's line was impressive, with 10 kills, 21 digs, and 43 assists to go with five aces. It was her second career triple-double after posting an 11 kill/13 dig/51 assist match against Michigan Dearborn last season.

Kellsie Groff threw down a match-high 13 kills and as many digs, and Megan Schoch added 10 kills. Allie Garrett led the Dutchmen with 19 digs, and Emily Sides pitched in 16.

LVC had to overcome a huge blocking night by the Blue Jays, who had four solo stuffs and 26 block assists led by Lindsay Palm's 3/5 and Holly Bubb's 6 BA. Bubb and Kelci Scannapieco led the Jays with seven kills; E-town hit just .099 in the match.

The Dutchmen countered the block with 11 service aces and tough defense after running away with the first set 25-13. Elizabethtown turned on the gas in the second set, leading wire-to-wire to win 25-22.

The Jays led in the early going of the third set before a big move by LVC turned a 9-9 game into a 20-11 advantage, keyed by Sarah Godfrey's seven-point serving run to lead to a 25-19 set win.

The fourth set was similar as E-town led 16-13 before a 5-2 LVC run tied it at 18. Two kills by Musselman sandwiched around an Alli Quirk swing extended the lead to 23-18, and kills by Groff and Schoch put the match away at 25-19.

LVC will host the MAC Crossover quad on Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m.
