ANNVILLE, Pa. - Morgan Miller didn't play the kind of soccer game that shows up in a box score, but she gave the Lebanon Valley women's soccer team (6-3-2) chances to score in Wednesday night's 1-1 tie with Haverford (5-0-3).
Miller fed wide-open
Nicole Snyder a perfect pass from the left side in the 18
th minute of the first period. Snyder was fouled, Haverford's Erin Verrier was yellowcarded and
Heather Tran stepped up for the penalty kick. She scored the team's only goal to tie the game at 1-1.
The game drew on to two overtime periods, and with just 59 seconds to play, Miller came up with a shot that was bound for the net before a diving save by Haverford goalkeeper Robin Chernow.
Sami Young played the entire game in the net for the Dutchmen, recording nine saves on ten attempts.
LVC outshot Haverford 18-13, but Chernow matched Young with nine saves to keep the Dutchmen out of the win column.
On the early foul, Snyder was denied a goal that would've extended her scoring streak to seven games.
LVC hosts Elizabethtown Saturday at noon in the kickoff game of Pink On The Pitch, a month-long benefit event in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
