Box Score

DALLAS, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley outshot Misericordia 14-5, but came up unlucky in the scoring column as the Cougars hit two first-half goals to win, 2-1, on Monday.

The Dutchmen (6-3-1) were frustrated by the Cougars' (4-3-1) Jess Anderson, who made nine saves to help her side sit on a 2-0 lead for much of the game.

LVC's Nicole Snyder, named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week earlier on Monday, struck on the hour to extend her goal-scoring streak to six games with her 11th of the year, but that would be the only tally for LVC despite eight second-half shots.

Misericordia's Erin McGreal finished Sam Helmstetter's free kick in the 11th minute to put MU up 1-0, and Helmstetter's corner set up Alyssa Mocion a half hour into the game to make it 2-0.

LVC brought the offense in the second half was was stopped by Anderson until Snyder's goal in the 61st minute, but the comeback never materialized in the final 30 minutes of play. Snyder ended up with five shots, and Stevi Laird took three.

Sami Young played the first half, with Becca Sykes playing the second and making a save. LVC led 14-5 on shots and corners were even at 3-3.

The Dutchmen return to Herbert Field Wednesday to face Haverford.
